I am so glad you stopped by!
This is a safe and inspiring space that I hope will encourage you to incorporate more sustainable lifestyle habits into your life, to shop more locally and choose experiences over mindless consumerism.
I am a firm believer in the power of fruits and vegetables to heal, prevent and cheer, so you will hear me tell you often “eat your fruits and veggies!” I will also encourage you to always seek first a farm or an orchard to shop from, and to shop small, and locally, as much as possible.
I’m Roxi, by the way. I was born and raised in Romania, but I am currently living in Virginia, USA where I became a naturalized American citizen (as of 2018). I have a BA and MA in Psychology and it’s safe to say that I am also very passionate about self-development as a life long process and a proponent of positive thinking and gratefulness as empowering tools to change your life.
I have worked in education for the past 11 years, in both private and public, general and alternative school systems and to this day, my favorite school is a Montessori school in a small town in Austria, where I was fortunate enough to live and work for one year.
My friends will tell you this, if you were to come over, I would sit you down at my table and feed you. I love to cook and bake and it brings me the greatest joy if I can do it for my loved ones, my friends and family. And when I don’t do that, traveling expands my life and heart like nothing else. I love discovering lesser known places and historical sites and when I do, I will introduce them to you as well.
What I would like to tell you is that this blog is a place where I am my best self and love to share with you my best thoughts, resources and suggestions on how to gradually adopt and maintain a lifestyle that is kinder to yourself and to our planet. I hope you’ll join me on the journey.
Come and stay awhile!
The fine print
All the ideas, thoughts and opinions expressed on this blog are mine and do no represent the opinions of the institution(s) that currently employ me. The photos, if not otherwise specified, have also been taken by me.
Occasionally, I will present to you products, services and people that have genuinely helped me or brought me joy. My life has been improved by others’ recommendations and suggestions therefore, I believe it’s important to pass it forward. If there are affiliate links or adds, I will let you know.
Thank you for being kind and respectful in your responses to my blog posts. There is much we can learn from one another and from having different points of view. Things change for the better in our personal lives and in the world if we come from a place of curiosity rather than judgement, and from a place of love.
Much love, always,
Roxi
